Happy Birthday on the Beach!

Well, I did it.  I turned 30.  But I did it at the beach. So that's cool.  Here's the first morning of my third decade:
Yeah, I know, I look pretty rough, but in my defense I'd just woken up so I still have pillowcase-crease face, no make up and greasy hair.  Jack woke up and I took him outside on the screened in porch to nurse him in the fresh, ocean air and along came the other half of my sweet family bearing birthday flowers and a cake in the form of donuts fresh off of Charlie's Donut Truck.

Molly chose a sprinkled one:

Jack and MiMi enjoying the fresh morning air.  Side note:  it was one year ago on this day that we found out he was coming and now he's enjoying his first time at the beach as a 4 month old!  God is so good.:

We made our way to the shore before long here are the kids Molly and Pop playing:

Our last trip to the beach was over a year ago with my family and Molly was not yet 2 years old.  She enjoyed it then but this time as soon as she hit that sand it was all business.  She played.  Hard.:

"Where the heck am I?":

That evening, MiMi and Pop stayed at the house with our beached-out babies while Ryan and I had a little birthday dinner at Seaside.

We made sure to pack Molly's helmet so she could get in on the bike riding.:

Enjoying a pre-ride snack in her snazzy trailer.:

Did you know I married into a biker gang?  Here they are, bad to the bone.:

Molly sure did work up an appetite:

Back to the beach for some sundown action:

I guess it was a green stripes day:

That evening Jack wasn't especially happy but I had to get his toes in, I just couldn't stand it any longer.  As soon as they touched the water he totally chilled out.  Like a bath:):

Hmmm?  What is this?:

She loves her some Pop:

I love this one with MiMi:

The order of these pictures got all messed up but I'm going with it.  This is from our last day on the beach.  MiMi and Pop had to head home.  We went out for one last hurrah seaside and spent a good 5 hours soaking in the sun and the fun.  This girl didn't slow down for a second!  Here's their mid-afternoon masterpiece.:

I'm just not sure it gets cuter than this:

and this.:
Oh, and I have to mention it cause it's out there.  All the time.  The middle finger.  It's his favorite one to flash.

And here are my big tough guys in the pool.  Jack is flexing for ya.:

Here I am with my sweet babies, our last dip for the year.:

Some beautiful sunrise shots that MiMi got.:

An early morning swim with Daddy:

My blue-eyed, spikey-haired charmer:

She's not very expressive:

But she is 3 going on 13!  She looks so grown up!:

And here come the series of pictures on the beach where no one looks at the camera at the same time:

It was a perfect short week together.  A last hurrah of memory making and child nuzzling before my maternity leave ended for good and my new decade of life began.  And I leave you with this gem:
