My Valen-teenies:)

Happy Valentine's Day!  The valentines we exchanged this year were cheap, easy, last minute, and the idea stemmed from a series of iPhone pics (taken back at thanksgiving of Molly in a pair of Wendy's kids meal Where's Waldo glasses).  There were three pictures and I liked them as a series so the perfect vehicle seemed to be a photo booth strip.  One google search later and I had this...for FREE!

A trip to the party favor section of the dollar store rounded out the "My Funny Valentine" vibe we were going for:

Molly was there every step of the way, too.  She held the handle of the paper cutter as we cut them apart and pushed down the three-hole-punch to make the hole at the top.  She helped thread a ribbon through and signed her name on the back of every one.  After they were all finished I knew we had to produce some for little man Jack to give out. So on Valentine's eve I dressed him up in his finest one piece and commenced to taking pictures (with Molly's help).  It was almost bedtime and he clearly was not in the most lovely of moods, as evidenced by the first couple of shots:

But soon he came around (Molly had a little something to do with it...and then me, he was cackling at me!)

Ugh, I can't stop staring at the kid:)  A few clicks later I had this:

And if you know me, you know I'm not above a little cheesy word play.  In fact, I live for it.  Bring on the cheese.  And the soap (for the teachers).:

Now, just like most everything I do these were last minute so they didn't make it to all our valentines who live afar BUT they fit the bill for school friends. And we got to take some to local family when we went to Karma's for a family love meal tonight.  Ummm...delish.  Individual heart-shaped meat loaves with bleu cheese crumbles, potato casserole, 7-layer salad, broccoli, strawberries, homemade angel biscuits with honey butter, deviled eggs.  And then, the most decadent quadruple chocolate heart cake (not pictured) that ever was.

And this morning we did a little Valentine happy exchanging:

And of course there were lots of neat little love bits carried home from school today.
I hope to be back soon with an update about my Valen-teeny-tiny girl.  Lots of love and peace out.
