Finishing up Thanksgiving

While in Kentucky for Thanksgiving we took a trip to the Children's Explorium in Lexington.  We went back in February too, but Molly is so much more alert and intrigued now so it was a totally different experience.

Trying out the John Deere in the farming and agriculture display:

We spent a good bit of time in the children under 3 section and had it all to ourselves for most of the time.  They had a great three tier water table.  When we were there Molly wasn't standing by herself just yet but if we were to go back now she could stand and play no problem:)
They had a great "nest" for the not quite walking set with back lit pictures of babies and animals.  If you press the big red buttons they play the corresponding sound.  She loved it.

They also had an itty-bitty slide in the side of a tree trunk that tickled her fancy:

This horse reminds me of the one in the basement of the Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville, GA that we go to every year.
Here's Jonah in the flight simulator:
And brothers in some sort of village housing:
And the bubble exhibit...a family favorite:

The next day Molly got to open up a Christmas gift from Grandma and Granddaddy since it was something to enjoy throughout the season.  She FINALLY ripped the paper and clapped for herself.
She is a really  s   l   o   w present unwrapper.  It'll take her 'til Christmas to get em all open...next Christmas:)
It was the Little People Nativity scene!  Yay!  Molly has just loved playing with it and I look forward to it being around our house for every Christmas to come.
Molly also enjoyed going to Granddaddy's church.  She made a pinecone turkey and Granddaddy held her up in front of the congregation for everyone to see...she's totally cool with being the center of attention.
A stop back by Grandma Dot's on the way home and our trip was complete.
I
I love this next picture!
