We got home on Saturday night (he was born on Thursday) and were greeted by blue balloons on the mailbox. A sweet touch by MiMi and Pop.

Molly perked up big time (as opposed to the groggy, post-nap Molly from the hospital) and ran around the house telling Jack about everything she could think of. Here we are in his room where she pulled each and every toy out to show him:
The next day Dad and Kara brought all the boys over to meet Jack before church. The hospital had a staunch policy this time around preventing any children under 12 (except siblings) from visiting and there were 6 kids in town just dying to. They're so proud of their new baby cousin:)!
Jonah and Jack meet
Sammy and Jack meet
All the "Roach" boy cousins. What a line-up:). Oh, and I've learned quickly that boy clothes = stripes. See?:
Wyatt and Jack meet
What a crazy group of boys:
LOVE this one...all the boys with Grandma and Granddaddy:
Hamming it up with Granddaddy:
The girls all came over after church to meet their new baby cousin:
Sophi and Jack
Goodness, she's growing up!
And Maggi meets Jack. She was very concerned about his belly button!
Marci wanted a second round. She is a goooood little mommy and has a special place in her heart for all living things.
And this little one has a special place in her heart for this living thing:
Three weeks later and she's just as thrilled to have her little brother in the world:
Doesn't she seem so much older now:
After Jack's first visit to the pediatrician we found out that he was jaundiced and wasn't gaining enough weight. So that week existed of several trips to the lab for blood work and back to the doctor for weight checks. This also meant that I had to pump so I could supplement his feedings with my own milk. None of this was new to us...we did it all before with Molly along with all kinds of other, more complicated, hoops to jump through. Jack's introduction to this world has been easy-peasy comparitively.
Since I've had to pump and supplement, Molly's been able to feed Jack a bit and she's so proud:)
See here? He's screaming, she's laughing. Haha:
Notice the toy collection that's made it's way into the swing;):
So, there you have it. Our first few days at home. Life with two has been hectic, and different, and wonderful. Just like life with one, I think life with two is something you don't "get" until you experience it and I'm sure that phenomenon continues with 3, etc. It's getting easier every day, except for the days when it gets harder ;). We're figuring things out as we go--that is Ryan and I are, Molly's fully adjusted and was the second she laid eyes on her brother! I must say I love being a mom. I love these two little lives that God has given us charge over. I'm doing my best to live in and not ahead of these precious moments (and I'm pretty sure more sleep will help that cause:). Welcome home, Jack!
Next up...a picture show from beyond the first few days. I'm catching up, y'all!
