Cousins in the House!

Here's the latest in the playroom:
Ryan hung a curtain wire (from IKEA) across the end of the playroom for a rotating art display and I think I'm loving it.  As I've mentioned before, we scan all of Molly's creations to capture them in book form rather than in clutter-clutter-everywhere form (inevitable at the rate she creates and she's not even two:) but between the scanner and the trash can we like to enjoy them for awhile and this seemed like the perfect solution.  There are actually little metal clippy rings that go with the wire but I couldn't find them so clothespins it is for now.  She was so excited as I hung each piece.  She would say, "Molly made that one!!!!" and she'd sing the nursery rhyme ones (they did a collection of nursery rhyme artwork in preschool).

All the Scardino cousins came over yesterday while Mark and Karma prepped for this week's VBS at Roswell Street.  Molly was napping when they got here but was super excited when Maggi (and Ryan) came to wake her up.  Showing how it's done:

Cousin love:

"I'm loving my pizza set, Aunt Kara!":

We're using some bookshelves for toy storage right now but this is the wall where I'm thinking of putting an art station eventually:
Sammy and Ryan kicking a ball in the back yard:
Molly "coloring the floor with chocolate" (that's what she thinks we're calling the chalk):

What a beauty!:

Two of Uncle Ryan's biggest fans:

She sat in the same place the entire time we were outside just coloring!
 Tired girls and their bears:

It was a good day.

Molly and I ran some errands this morning and when we got home we were both hot, hot, hot.  So we took advantage of the empty neighborhood pool before naptime.  She's really loving the water so far this summer--remember last summer she had very few opportunities for water fun because of the cast but we're making up for it!  Don't know why this pic's so tiny but it shows her focus was on the pool, not on mom:)  I'm off to search the garage for leftover primer.  Happy Monday!
