Scardino Celebrations

I'm kind of on a roll right now with uploading pics and blog posting.  I thought I'd continue the birthday momentum by sharing two more summer Scardino parties with you.  These are documented solely by iPhone so please excuse the picture graininess.  (Actually, in some cases my phone takes waaaay better pictures than our camera...go figure.)

We'll start with Sammy's Star Wars Lego party.  But I didn't have to tell you that, you could just look at his cookie cake:

Did you notice the Lego candles?  So cute.  And here are a few of the party goers.  So fun that Wyatt and Jonah got to join us!

Look at these kids!  They're so grown up!
When you're nine you're old enough to light your own candles.  Unbelievable.

BEST.  PICTURE.  EVER.  I LOVE these boys.  If you don't know them, you're missing out!:
See what I mean?  Phones can take some pretty stinking cute pictures:)!:
What a handsome 9 year old!:
Just a week or so later it was time to get in on Maggi's 3rd year celebration.  Sammy, Marci, and Sophi provided some entertainment for their little sis' party with a dramatic reading of The Wide Mouthed Frog.  Maggi asked for an alligator birthday party and an alligator birthday party is what she had!
Here's the fantastic alligator cupcake cake that Karma made.  Three is a big year for a Scardino.  It's the first time they're allowed to have chocolate.  (Well, legally.  You bet your bottom dollar that each of them snuck their fair share before their time came!)  And if you know the Scardino's you know that chocolate is basically its own food group at their house and it's always the good stuff.  So in true Karma fashion these were homemade chocolate cupcakes with a ganache base/filling.  Decadent.
Somebody's happy about their chocolate alligator!:
At Maggi's birthday, all the Scardino kids are either odd or even ages for about a month out of the year before Marci's birthday.  So here we have a 3,5,7, and 9 year old.  (oh, and Molly's two in this pic.)

The verdict is...she loves chocolate!

I loved the goody cups Karma made.  She painted triangle teeth and a rosy cheek on the sides of a plain plastic green cup.  Voila, alligator snouts!
Saying goodbye to the birthday girl.  They're 6 weeks apart in age (and a good 6 inches or more apart in height:)!
I'll be back soon to recap a birthday from January.  Yep, that's right, January.  I'll catch you guys up on all the birthday action yet!
