Tomato pie, chicken club ring, broccoli salad, fruit salad, marinated salad, two kinds of quiche-summer sausage and spinach, feta and sun-dried tomato. Then the sweets...homemade peanut butter fudge, delicious bite-size fudge mint brownies (with pink mint frosting) and fabulous petits fours that you'll see up close below.
Denise (a good friend that works with Kara) made these darling little cakes with melon, pink, and green 'M's and the flower motif from Molly's crib bedding. They were scrumptious! Thank you Denise!!
Zoe (Denise's daughter) and Marci shared this cute little table with a baby blanket tablecloth:

Marci was quite the young lady helping to set things up and pass out presents. As her card for Molly's present she painted a picture of a pink flower and an orange sun that I will be hanging up in the nursery.

Zoe and Denise. Zoe and Marci are getting to know each other well now after spending a couple of birthday parties together and now the shower:)
The company was wonderful! Mrs. Davis (John's mother), Rachel (my cousin-in-law), Robin (a long time friend of Kara's that I've known since I was in college):
Also Mom, Grandma, Aunt Charlotte, Denise and Zoe, Marci and of course Syl, Kara, and Karma. I received so many wonderful gifts from everyone: bibs, blankets, sleepers, baby silverware, washcloths, crib sheets, pacifiers, a car seat protector, a bouncy seat and swing, a changing pad, baby creams and washes, outlet covers, a robe and pajamas for me...it was so much fun!

Here's a sweet hooded towel and bathrobe from Charlotte and Tim:

Mrs. Dacus (or Mama Jean) wasn't able to be there but sent along this beautiful patchwork quilt that is over 75 years old, and a pair of hand embroidered pillow cases with beautiful bright wildflowers:
Another neat gift was from Kara:
This is her baby jewelry. A little gold bracelet (was given to her by my dad's Uncle Earl and Aunt May), a tiny gold ring (which was my granddaddy's baby ring!) and an etched gold locket. I remember always looking at her baby pictures with envy when I was little because she had this beautiful jewelry. Now Molly will need her picture made with it!
We played some fun games. One where we had to identify 11 different kinds of baby food by sight only which was quite challenging as baby food is all a variation on the colors brown, green and orange!
Last but not least Karma was sprinkled with a few gifts for little Maggi. As of this past Friday she is only 1 month away from her due date!!! And she's moving on Thursday...wow!

Thank you Kara, Karma, and Syl for such a great afternoon celebration! I had such a great time with everyone and have already enjoyed going back through all the gifts to share them with Ryan (and he's enjoyed the leftovers as well!) We are anxious for our bathroom to be complete so we can start putting all of Molly's things away where they belong!
