Days 8, 9 and 10

I'm cramming a few days work into one post. Ryan and I were busy this weekend attending our childbirth classes and I didn't have a chance to post the day's accomplishments. Here's the new color we've chosen for the bathroom (as seen through a plastic dropcloth):

Just kidding!! That's a type of waterproof sealant they prepared the shower with. It goes on hot pink and dries red. They start tiling the shower surround tomorrow...very exciting! If you look closely you can see a square cut out in the shower wall. This is a niche they've carved out for shampoo bottles etc.

Our floor was quite pitted in some areas. The gray stuff you see in the picture above is the first step to leveling the floor. They've filled in the deepest areas first and will add to it later.

Instead of tiling the whole bathroom wall as it was before we've decided to put up beaded board. Above you'll see the beginnings of the bead board look.

They've walled up the wall in Molly's room where Ryan's closet door used to be. They've also put up the wall that encloses the pocket door:

Below you can see the other side of the closet with wiring ready for a vanity light. They've boarded up and spackled all the surfaces on the wall, floor and ceiling.

Oh, and completely unrelated is the next picture:

Eastside had their God and Country Sunday this past week. It was a wonderful service! Our neighbors, Hershell and Becky, joined us for the event.

I think I have you caught up on bathroom proceedings now. Can't wait to see what they do tomorrow!
