Rest of day 14 and day 15 (yesterday)

So after toilet removal on Monday they put up some more beadboard and then leveled the floor with some kind of mud stuff that smelled like about 100 old ladies getting a perm at the same time.

This dried overnight and yesterday they were able to tile the bathroom floor!

And here's the result (sans grout):

We had them lay it on the diagonal, which is a bit more work and cutting, but I think it was worth it!

Today they'll be grouting the floor, installing the toilet and putting up the rest of the beadboard among other things. We should be up in working order (at least toilet and showerwise) by tonight (?) or tomorrow morning. This is good timing because our pit stop (Karma's house) will be moving an additional 3 miles away tomorrow! This 7-months-pregnant-no-toilet thing has been interesting to say the least...a good story for the baby book!
