Molly's kiss face:
Ryan thinks she looks like one of those old pantyhose dolls where the old woman's face is all puckered up. You know the one's...they're usually found in a bathroom disguising those nasty gel air fresheners...maybe sitting on a toilet tank overlooking a country blue shag toilet seat cover with dusty rose applique. Yeah, those. And here are some more Molly faces:Here's her "Oh, no!" look:

My Saturday morning purple pals:
Since Molly's party, it's been 3 solid weeks of sickness for the Lucas family. Molly got sick, I got sick, Molly got better, Ryan got sick, I got better, I got sick again. Last Monday I came down with strep and pretty much couldn't get out of bed for two days. Ryan and Molly went on their runs without me. I managed to get out of bed long enough to snap this pic of their return:
Molly is a little squirrel. She collects all of the little things she can find and clusters them up on our little flower stools like this:
Sometimes she covers them so much that you can't see the stool at all! Then she'll pull herself up to look at her pile and clap. She also loves to collect things and put them in any lap around like mine, below:
Ryan's pantleg is a favorite spot and he usually comes home to produce-filled shoes as well. After being out sick for two days last week I spent the rest of the week on fall break. I had planned lots of outings and events for Molly and me over our 3 days at home together but had to edit them to allow for more recoup time. We did manage to make it to baby storytime at the library. Molly really enjoyed that for sure! There were like fourteen babies there plus moms and some siblings. The librarian did lots of rhymes and songs, read a story and then, Molly's favorite part, blew BUBBLES! She was in heaven! She scooted around the floor saying "bubble, bubble, bubble, bubble". That night when Ryan got home we took a walk to the library close to us to get Molly her very own card which she was very proud of for the rest of the evening:
Molly, her new library card, her first borrowed book and her library bag (a mommy hand-me-down):
Molls thinks it's the bee's knees to crawl through, under, and into everything! Laundry baskets, shopping bags (don't worry, no plastic!), the bottom shelves of our TV stand, tables and chairs. She's kind of "wide load" at present so she usually ends up either stuck or dragging pieces of furniture along with her but she has a grand time doing it!Here she is "collecting":
Peekaboo!

Hanging out under the table:
She works hard at play and has a grand time. Her poor little big toes have blisters on them from her constant "paddling" around but it doesn't bother her one bit. Here's a pic, it's kinda blurry cause these feet NEVER STOP!
Our big girl is doing more and more! Her abilities grow exponentially every day and we're completely entertained!:
- She can identify all her produce correctly and say banana (nana) and apple (wabble).
- She can do the motions for wheels on the bus, itsy bitsy spider, and happy and you know it. She loves for us to sing songs to her, especially in the car. Mornings aren't complete without a chorus of "This is the Day" on the way to school. I know pretty soon she'll be doing the echo part with me:) She's also started this lip sync thing that's hilarious. She doesn't actually sing but she opens her mouth and bops her head along with the music. Here's a little sample of it.
- In addition to the two words above she can also say: baby, Bible, bubble, ball, cheese, dog, wow, mama, dada, mum-mum (a snack), Pop, Dot-dot, yellow and adds new words every day!
- She know her eyes, ears, nose, hair, hands, feet, belly, tongue, teeth, and mouth...and also knows where to find our bellybuttons (since she can't find her own!)
I'm sure I'm forgetting things...she's just too darn cute to keep up with! And can I just remind you to take a look at the countdown...that's right just over EIGHT days left til the cast change! Be still my heart!
