Hurt So Good.

I'm convinced that any pain I feel after this foot surgery will be "good" pain.  The kind that you endure graciously because you know there's healing and relief around the bend.  As of right now, however, at almost 2 in the morning, the pain is decidedly bad to the bone.  Sleepless nights have become the norm for me lately, and not because of my recovering baby but because of my flaming (as in "on fire") foot.  The demons within my foot decide to come out and play just as I'm sliding under the sheets and it's really getting old now.  Thankfully my cancelled surgery (last Wednesday due to the ice) has now been rescheduled to this Thursday.  That is if I don't decide to break out my new electric knife and commence to performing my own procedure before Thursday gets here.  (Actually, Ryan might be more inclined to take action as I know it's a drag listening to me complain about it...but it HURTS!)  Anyway, the doctor acts like the surgery will be a piece of cake to recover from.  I go for a follow-up appt. on Monday and should be able to go back to work Tuesday.

Thanks to my parents for braving the weather and hanging out for the uneventful week once they got here!  It was fun visiting and I'm glad you're home safely!  And thanks to Ryan's parents who'll now be joining us for the real thing this weekend (and Ryan's birthday!)

I'm gonna go try this lying still thing again...wish me luck:)
