How you doin'? *don't miss the video link at the bottom

There's so much to catch you up on and seemingly fewer and fewer minutes to do so!  First of all I've basically ignored the fact that we did indeed partake in a pretty awesome family (meaning Mom, Dad, Kara, Karma, me and all that come with us) beach vacation earlier this month.  Perhaps that post procrastination stems from the fact that I must choose a select few pictures from almost 2000 to showcase...that's right...I took a lot of pictures.

Since then we also made a trip to Mississippi for Ryan's 10 year high school reunion.  It was a great visit with MiMi and Pop as well as classmates of yore.  Unfortunately it ended with a detour to the Children's Hospital in Birmingham on our way home.  Molly had been running a low fever throughout the weekend which we were certain was another UTI.  On the way home it spiked to over 104 and with a call to the doctor we were on our way to have her checked out in Alabama.  She did have a UTI and was put on a new antibiotic to clear it out.  As a result of having 3 UTI's with fever in the last while, her urologist wants to run a cystogram to make sure he's not missing something from her good xrays.  This will be a short procedure but will require her to be under anesthesia.  It's a let down from the high of everything being just fine for awhile but we're thankful to be in Dr. Smith's hands (well, God's hands, you know what I mean:) and we're hopeful that this will shed some light on the situation.

In the wake of her illness I believe I've come down with something.  Blech...at least school hasn't started just yet!

The family room painting project is almost complete!  Just a little more cutting in and we'll be finished (with the painting part)!

Molly is absolutely coming into her two-year-old self.  Her tolerance of taking our time in a store or restaurant is growing shorter by the day.  "Have patience, Mommy" she told me the other day...evidence that we may be using that fruit of the spirit word a lot around here lately.  She knows the whole song that goes along with it too!  A few days before she told me to "stop whining".  At least she's listening, even if she doesn't always obey.  And when she does obey sometimes she'll throw in a "hooray, I obeyed" (a line from a little book she has).  While we're shopping she'll pull something close to the cart and say "dis is cute!  how bout dis one, Mommy?  I like dat! dat's a-dor-ble"  or "look!  deese match! pink and pink!"  and she's forever pointing out something for me to spy...like a green light or a red triangle.  It's absolutely mind blowing what this kid picks up!

So I know there aren't any pics in this post but if you'll follow this here LINK you'll see six parts (out of like fifteen) of our family playtime together today and Molly channeling her inner Joey Tribianni .  Ryan took them on his phone and I tried something new...I annotated the videos so that you can decipher what she's saying.  (I realize that not everyone can decode the Molly language.)  It's not perfect but it'll do.
